Bus Ducts and Rising Mains are enclosed busbar systems designed to transmit large amounts of electrical power efficiently and safely within a building or industrial facility ? replacing conventional cable runs for high-current applications. A Bus Duct (busway) runs horizontally across floors or plant areas to feed multiple distribution boards and machinery, while Rising Mains run vertically through multi-storey buildings, supplying each floor via tap-off units. Our systems are manufactured using high-conductivity copper or aluminium busbars housed in robust sheet steel or aluminium enclosures, available in sandwich, air-insulated, and cast resin designs. With current ratings from 100A to 6300A, they offer superior current-carrying capacity, compact installation, low power losses, and faster installation compared to equivalent cable systems.
