11 kV Indoor Current Transformer

An 11 kV Indoor Current Transformer (CT) is an instrument transformer used in medium-voltage (MV) power systems to measure and monitor current. It steps down high primary currents (often in the hundreds of amperes) to a safe, standardized secondary value (usually 1A or 5A) for use with protection relays, meters, and SCADA systems. Designed for indoor applications, these CTs are typically installed within metal-clad switchgear, control panels, or ring main units (RMUs).
