Transformer Protection Panels are specialised protection and control modules designed to safeguard power transformers from internal and external faults within medium and high voltage substation systems. These panels integrate a comprehensive array of numerical microprocessor-based protective relays, current transformers (CTs), voltage transformers (VTs), Buchholz relay interfaces, winding temperature trip contacts, pressure relief device inputs, circuit breaker control switches, annunciators, and metering instruments ? all enclosed within a robust CRCA sheet steel cabinet conforming to IP42 or higher protection ratings. The protection scheme incorporates differential protection (87T), restricted earth fault (64R), overcurrent and earth fault (50/51/51N), overfluxing (24), and thermal overload (49) functions, providing multi-layered defence against winding faults, core saturation, external short circuits, and overloading conditions.
